| Hadspen Gardens and Nursery are just off the A359
between Bruton and Castle Cary, Somerset, England. Mr.
and Mrs. Pope took over the gardens in 1987. They include a large
formal pond and a tea house. The gardens are celebrated for
their colourist plantings. As a fan of hardy herbaceous plants
and grasses it comes close to heaven for me. Garden design dances
to the two interweaving cycles of day and year. I have visited
the gardens many times in order to enjoy the gardens in their many moods.
I thus have many photographs and the following are just a tiny example.
