The Isle of Purbeck is located in Southern England.  It is an area of both outstanding natural beauty  and geological interest.

I have been enchanted by the Purbecks since first I saw them.  They have influenced my pottery in various ways and I want to share them with you.  I have no intention of competing with the usual tourist views of the area.  Neither will I present a detailed account of the history or the fauna and flora of the region.  So if you take this presentation as a friendly and highly personal introduction to the Purbecks by a non-expert enthusiast of the region you will (I hope) not be disappointed.

I will start with an introduction to one of my favourite walks.  I will expand on this as  and when I have time from potting.  So if you like what you see return periodically and check out any updates.  If you want to comment e-mail me.  Please also check out my copyright notice.

One of my favourite walks takes me from Swanage to the lighthouse at Anvil Point.

Here is my Purbeck Tourist's Checklist.  This is a print-friendly list of places to go in the Purbecks and things to see when you get there.
